Goal of Texas Drug Offender Education (DOEP) Class

The goal of DOEP is to provide you with the skills needed for identifying your drug-use triggers and patterns while helping you create a long-term, personal action plan for staying away from drugs and illegal behaviors in the future. All of our classes are available via Zoom from the comfort of your own home.

Restoration House Alcohol & Drug Education Services offers DOEP classes for Texans, all over Zoom. DOEP is a required court-ordered class for persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony drug offense(s). These offenses automatically cause a person’s license to be suspended for a period of six months, and in order for the license to be reinstated, the individual must successfully complete the 15-hour long DOEP, as approved by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Failure to attend and complete a Texas drug offender education course will result in the license being revoked indefinitely.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the DOEP class take?

Texas requires a 15-hour class. We have morning and evening classes that are for 3 hours a day for 5 days.

  • What is the cost of the DOEP class?

  • Does the DOEP class meet the Texas requirements?

Yes, we are approved and certified by the State of Texas.

  • What happens after the DOEP class?

A “Certificate of Completion” will be given to each participant upon successful completion of the program. The participant is responsible for providing the convicting court clerk with a copy of the serially-numbered certificate. The convicting court clerk will complete the CR-44 form (Supplemental Court Reporting Form) and forward it to the Department of Public Safety, who will then reinstate the person’s driver’s license.

  • What is your return policy?

There will only be a refund if Restoration House ADES cancels your class. If the student fails to be present for all days of the course, the student will be disenrolled and will have to enroll themselves again through texascourtclasses.com.

  • What if I am late to class?

Depending on how late you are to class, you may be locked out of your Zoom course and required to start the course from scratch. You will then have to pay for the entire course again.

  • What if I need to miss a session?

Because Restoration House ADES is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulations, you cannot miss any sessions. You will have to pay to take the class again from the beginning.
